Description

A normal side table sits next to the sofa, which means everything on it is just out of reach once you are actually sitting down. This one has a flat C-shaped base that slides underneath the sofa, so the top comes out over the seat and lands across your lap instead of beside your elbow.

The column adjusts from 58 to 80 cm on a lever clamp, so it sets to the height of whatever you are sitting on — a low sofa, an armchair, a recliner or a bed. The top is 60 x 40 cm and 2.1 cm thick, which is enough for a laptop and a cup side by side rather than one or the other, and the corners are rounded so there is nothing sharp at knee height. Column 8 cm across, base plate 40 x 30 cm.

Steel frame with a density board top and base finished in a saddle-leather texture, in brown or black. Useful beside a sofa for working or eating, beside a bed as a laptop table, and in a clinic or a majlis where people need a surface that comes to them.
