Hydraulic jacks and stands for lifting a car, a pickup or a truck. A 3-ton bottle jack is 5.000 KD and a 5-ton is 6.000 KD, a 6-ton jack stand is 8.950 KD, and the range runs up to a 30-ton bottle jack at 47.000 KD and a 3-ton long floor jack at 110.000 KD. Most people changing a wheel at home want the 5.000 KD bottle jack; a garage or anyone working under the car wants the long floor jack and a pair of stands.

Which one do you need?

Type Best for Price
Hydraulic bottle jack, 3 tons Changing a wheel on a saloon or a small SUV — the ordinary boot jack, short and narrow 5.000 KD
Hydraulic bottle jack, 5 tons The same jack rated higher, for a larger SUV, a pickup or a van 6.000 KD
Hydraulic jack, 2.5 tons, low profile Cars a bottle jack will not fit under — a low body makes the rating lower and the price higher, because the whole point is the height, not the load 14.500 KD
Long floor jack, 3 tons, 1480 mm Garage and service work — rolls under the car on wheels and reaches the centre jacking point, rather than lifting one corner from the kerb 110.000 KD
Jack stand, 6 tons Holding the car at height once the jack has lifted it, so the jack is not what the car is resting on while you work 8.950 KD
Hydraulic bottle jack, 20 tons Trucks, trailers and plant — a much larger ram in the same bottle shape 34.000 KD
Hydraulic bottle jack, 30 tons The top of the range, for heavy vehicles and machinery 47.000 KD
Wheel lock / tyre clamp Clamping a wheel on a parked vehicle, trailer or caravan; yellow 9.500 KD

Out of stock at the moment: the 2-ton horizontal hydraulic jack, the 3-ton jack stand and the 5-ton electric car jack kit — ask us about availability. For the heavier lifting range see lifting equipment.

What to check before buying

  • Match the tonnage to the vehicle, not to the whole weight. A jack lifts one corner, so a 3-ton jack handles most saloons and small SUVs. Step up to 5 tons for a large SUV, a pickup or a van.
  • Measure the gap under the car first. This is the thing people get wrong. A bottle jack needs a certain height to get its base and ram under the sill; on a low car it simply will not go in, which is why the 2.5-ton low jack at 14.500 KD exists and costs more than the 5-ton bottle jack at 6.000 KD. If your car is low, measure before you buy on price.
  • Bottle jack or long floor jack? A bottle jack is small, cheap and lives in the boot — it lifts one point a short distance. The 1480 mm long floor jack at 110.000 KD rolls under the car on wheels and reaches the centre jacking point. That is the difference the 22 KD-to-110 KD gap is paying for; it is not a better bottle jack, it is a different machine for a different job.
  • If you are going under the car, buy stands as well as a jack. A jack is for raising the car; a stand is what takes the weight while you are working. The 6-ton stand is 8.950 KD and is in stock; the 3-ton version is out at the moment.
  • The 20-ton and 30-ton jacks are down to two units each. If you need one for a truck or a trailer, call before you travel for it.
  • Buying for a workshop? Tell us the vehicles and the bay layout rather than a product list — contact us and we will quote the jack, the stands and the rest together.

FAQs

How much is a car jack in Kuwait?

A 3-ton hydraulic bottle jack is 5.000 KD and a 5-ton is 6.000 KD — those are the two most people buy for changing a wheel. A 2.5-ton low-profile jack for cars a bottle jack will not fit under is 14.500 KD, and a 3-ton long floor jack for garage work is 110.000 KD. The 20-ton and 30-ton bottle jacks are 34.000 KD and 47.000 KD.

Which jack do I need for a low car?

The 2.5-ton hydraulic jack at 14.500 KD, because the question is clearance rather than load. A bottle jack needs room under the sill for its base and ram, and on a low body it will not go in at all. Measure the gap under your jacking point and bring the number — or bring the car to the showroom and we will check it against both.

What is the difference between a jack and a jack stand?

The jack raises the car. The stand is what the car sits on afterwards while you work on it. They are bought together, not instead of each other: the 6-ton stand is 8.950 KD and is in stock, and the 3-ton version is out at the moment.

Do you have an electric car jack?

Not at the moment — the 5-ton electric car jack kit is out of stock. Call or come in and we will tell you when it is back. The manual bottle jacks from 5.000 KD are in deep stock in the meantime.

Also useful: car repair and maintenance tools for tyre kits, grease guns and oil pumps, and jump starters, battery chargers and cables if the car will not start rather than will not lift.
