Air tools and the fittings that feed them: impact wrenches, an air ratchet, spray guns, a brad nailer, blow guns, hose and hose reels, and a 100-litre workshop compressor. A blow gun is 0.750 KD and a coupler 0.150 KD; the working tools sit between 8 and 28 KD, and the compressor that runs them starts at 92.500 KD. Air tools are cheaper, lighter and simpler than their electric equivalents, but only if you already have air.
Which air tool do you need?
| Type | Best for | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Impact wrench, 1/2", 850 N·m, twin hammer | Wheel nuts and seized bolts up to 18 mm; 7,800 rpm free speed, runs at 90 psi, weighs 2.3 kg | from 20.500 KD |
| Impact wrench, 1/2", 1,580 N·m | The heavier gun — truck and machinery fasteners where 850 N·m stalls | from 24.000 KD |
| Impact wrench, 7,500 rpm | General garage work; sold on speed rather than a published torque figure | 19.950 KD |
| Impact wrench set, 1/2", 17 pieces | Starting from nothing: the gun, 11 impact sockets from 9 to 27 mm, a 5" extension bar, a hex wrench, an oiler and a case | 14.750 KD |
| Air ratchet wrench, 1/2" | Bolts an impact gun is too big or too brutal for — sump plates, inlet manifolds, bodywork | 9.500 KD |
| Brad nailer / stapler gun, 18 gauge | Timber, trim, skirting, frames and crates — 18-gauge brad nails | 8.000 KD |
| Air spray gun, 750 ml cup, 1.5 mm nozzle | Paint over a large area — doors, panels, furniture, gates; the bigger cup means fewer refills | 2.650 KD |
| Air spray gun, alloy body, 400 ml | Smaller jobs and touch-ups, with a metal body rather than plastic | 3.450 KD |
| Professional air paint spray gun | Bodyshop and finish work where the spray pattern has to be repeatable | 65.000 KD |
| Air blow gun | Blowing dust and swarf off benches, machines, filters and engine bays — the first thing most people buy after a compressor | 0.750 KD |
| Air hose, 15 m, 5 × 8 mm | Reaching across a workshop or two bays from one compressor | 3.450 KD |
| Automatic air hose reel, 20 m | A fixed bay where loose hose is a nuisance; 150 psi working pressure, 5/16" hose, 1/4" BSPT fitting, rewinds itself | from 19.950 KD |
| Quick coupler, male, G1/4" | Fitting a tool or a hose tail so it clicks on and off; European pattern | 0.150 KD |
| Air compressor, 100 L, 1.8 kW | Running any of the above continuously — 8 bar, 320 L/min, a 100-litre tank in 2.5 mm steel plate | from 92.500 KD |
Out of stock at the moment: the 12, 30, 50 and 120-litre compressors, the cordless compressor, the second air spray gun, the handheld sandblasting gun and the female quick coupler — ask us about availability before you plan a job around a compressor.
What to check before buying
- Buy the compressor first, or check the one you have. Every tool on this page is dead air without it. The 100-litre machine delivers 320 L/min at 8 bar, which runs an impact wrench or a spray gun properly. A small tyre inflator will not.
- Air tool or cordless? An air impact wrench at 20.500 KD has no battery to die, no motor to burn and more torque per kilo than a cordless gun at the same price. The catch is the compressor, the hose and the noise. If you are working out of a van, cordless wins; if you are working in a bay, air wins.
- Match the torque to the fastener, not to the biggest number. 850 N·m handles wheel nuts and most seized bolts up to 18 mm. 1,580 N·m is for truck and machinery work. A wrench that is too strong rounds fasteners off.
- You need sockets, and they must be impact sockets. Chrome hand sockets split on an impact gun. The 17-piece set at 14.750 KD arrives with eleven of them from 9 to 27 mm, which is why it is the sensible first purchase even if you later buy a bigger gun.
- Oil the tool, every day you use it. An air motor runs on a drop of oil in the inlet. The 17-piece set includes a mini oiler and an oil pot for exactly this reason, and it is the difference between a gun that lasts years and one that lasts a season.
- Check which coupler pattern your hose already has. The coupler here is the European G1/4" pattern. Mixing patterns is the most common reason a new tool will not connect, and it is a 0.150 KD problem to avoid rather than a job to redo.
- Hose length beats compressor placement. A 15 m hose at 3.450 KD or a self-rewinding 20 m reel from 19.950 KD means the compressor can live in a corner instead of following you around.
- Spray gun cup size is about refills, not finish. The 750 ml cup at 2.650 KD and the 400 ml alloy gun at 3.450 KD both have the same job; pick the big cup for doors and gates and the small one for touch-ups.

FAQs
How much is an air impact wrench in Kuwait?
The 1/2" twin-hammer gun at 850 N·m starts at 20.500 KD and the heavier 1,580 N·m gun at 24.000 KD. If you have no impact sockets yet, the 17-piece set at 14.750 KD gives you a gun plus eleven sockets from 9 to 27 mm, an extension bar, an oiler and a case, and is the cheaper way in.
What size air compressor do I need?
For an impact wrench, a spray gun or a nailer run back to back, the 100-litre machine from 92.500 KD is the one in stock: 1.8 kW, 8 bar, 320 L/min. The smaller 12, 30 and 50-litre oil-free models are out of stock at the moment, so if you want a quiet household-size compressor, ask us when it is coming in rather than ordering a tool you cannot run.
Do you have a nail gun for wood?
Yes — the 18-gauge brad nailer is 8.000 KD and there are 99 in stock. It drives 18-gauge brad nails into timber, trim, skirting and crates, and it runs off the same compressor as the wrenches and spray guns.
Do I need anything else besides the tool?
Three things, and they are cheap: a hose (15 m at 3.450 KD, or a 20 m self-rewinding reel from 19.950 KD), the right quick couplers at 0.150 KD, and oil for the air motor. Impact guns also need impact sockets rather than hand sockets — see socket sets.
Also useful: hand tools for everything that runs on muscle instead of air, and socket sets for the sockets these guns drive.
