Aerosol spray paint and the gun for bigger jobs. A can of spray paint is 1.250 KD and all nine colours are in stock today — gloss white, gloss black, machine grey, aluminium, light blue, gloss dark blue, gloss royal blue, fire red and irish green. It goes onto wood, metal and acrylic, which covers most of what people respray: furniture, cabinet doors, bicycles, garden chairs, lamps and gate ironwork. For a whole wall or a car panel, the cordless spray gun is 11.950 KD.

Type Best for Price
Aerosol spray paint, nine colours Small and medium respray jobs — a chair, a cabinet door, a bicycle frame, a lamp, railings, garden furniture. No equipment to clean afterwards, and every colour is the same price so a two-colour job costs no more per can than a one-colour job 1.250 KD a can
Cordless paint spray gun with two batteries Bigger areas than a can will cover — a wall, a door, a gate, a set of cupboards. You fill the canister with your own paint, and with two batteries you can keep going while one charges. No cord and no compressor 11.950 KD

What to check before buying

  • Buy more cans than you think, for anything bigger than a chair. Two thin coats give a better finish than one heavy one, and running out mid-job leaves a visible edge you cannot blend. At 1.250 KD a can an extra one is cheap insurance.
  • We will not quote coverage, and here is why. No can volume, coverage area or drying time is recorded against the spray paint, so we are not going to invent one. Bring the piece or its measurements to the counter and we will work out the can count with you — or read the can itself, which has the figures printed on it.
  • Check the surface against the list, not against hope. The surfaces recorded for the aerosol are wood, metal and acrylic. Plastics vary far too much for anyone to promise beyond that, so test on a hidden corner first if you are spraying plastic.
  • Take the old finish back before you spray. Fresh paint over flaking paint flakes. The sandpaper for that is on sandpaper and abrasive discs — 0.250 KD a sheet, and 120 grit is the usual grade for preparing before a coat.
  • Can or gun? Roughly: if one or two cans would do it, use cans — there is nothing to clean and nothing to set up. If you would need five or more, or the surface is a wall or a door, the 11.950 KD gun pays for itself quickly and gives a more even coat over a large flat area.
  • The gun needs your own paint. It is a sprayer, not a paint kit. Work out what you are spraying and how much of it before you buy the machine, and bring the paint tin's label if you want to check it will go through a sprayer at all.
  • Colour not in the nine? These are factory-filled aerosols in the nine colours listed, and they cannot be mixed to order. If you need a specific match, tell us before you buy a can.

FAQs

How much is spray paint in Kuwait?

1.250 KD a can, and every one of the nine colours is the same 1.250 KD. All nine are in stock today, with 865 cans on the shelf between them, so a multi-can job is no trouble.

What colours do you have?

Nine: gloss white, gloss black, machine grey, aluminium, light blue, gloss dark blue, gloss royal blue, fire red and irish green. All in stock. They are factory-filled aerosols, so we cannot mix a colour outside the nine.

How many cans will I need, and what size is the can?

We would rather not guess. No can volume or coverage figure is recorded in our product record, so quoting one would be making it up. Bring the item or its measurements and we will work the count out with you at the counter — and the can itself carries the printed figures. As a rule of thumb, buy one more can than you think you need, because a job that runs dry halfway leaves a mark.

Can or spray gun — which should I buy?

Cans for anything up to a few square metres: 1.250 KD each, nothing to set up and nothing to clean. The cordless spray gun at 11.950 KD, which comes with two batteries and runs without a cord or a compressor, is for walls, doors, gates and cupboard runs where you would otherwise be buying a stack of cans. The gun sprays your own paint, so price the paint as well. For brushes and rollers instead, see paint equipment.

Also useful: sandpaper and abrasive discs for taking the surface back first, and paint equipment for brushes, rollers and trays.
