Combination spanner sets are 3.250–5.350 KD depending on the size range, pipe wrenches are 1.750–2.750 KD, and ratchet spanner sets go up to 15.000 KD. Everything here is either an adjustable tool or a set — we do not sell loose single-size spanners.

What you get for what you spend

• 0.750–1.750 KD — one adjustable wrench: 6" at 0.750 KD, 8" at 1.000 KD, 10" at 1.250 KD, 12" at 1.750 KD. A 10" or 12" version with a wider jaw is 2.000–3.000 KD.
• 1.500–2.750 KD — the odd jobs: universal wrench pair 1.500 KD, pipe wrench 1.750–2.750 KD, 1/2" ratchet handle 2.250 KD.
• 3.250–5.350 KD — a real spanner set. Choose by size range: 6–22 mm at 3.250 KD, 8–24 mm at 4.950 KD, 8–32 mm at 5.350 KD.
• 9.000–15.000 KD — 7-piece ratchet spanner sets, fixed head 9.000 KD or flexible head 15.000 KD, for people who do this work every day.

Buying tips

• Adjustable first, set second. One adjustable wrench at 0.750–1.750 KD handles the occasional loose nut. Buy a set when you find yourself needing two sizes at once — holding the bolt while you turn the nut is impossible with a single tool.
• Pick the set by size range, not by piece count. 6–22 mm covers household plumbing, furniture and most car fittings. 8–24 mm adds the larger car sizes. 8–32 mm is for machine and site work — do not pay for it if you will never use the top end.
• Spanner or socket? A ring or open spanner slips onto nuts in tight corners where nothing else fits. A socket on a ratchet is far faster on anything you can reach straight on, which is why car work usually starts with a socket set — 12 pieces at 3.000 KD up to 114 pieces at 21.500 KD.
• Jaw size, not just length. A 6" adjustable opens far enough for household taps and small nuts; a 12" opens wide enough for pipe nuts and gives the leverage to move them.
• Never use a pipe wrench on a nut. Its serrated jaws are made to bite round pipe and they will chew the flats off a nut. Use it for pipes, and an adjustable wrench or a spanner for nuts.
• Ratchet spanners earn their price in tight spaces. If you can only swing the spanner a few degrees, a ratcheting ring end turns the nut without lifting off. The flexible-head set adds angles a straight spanner cannot reach.
• Do not force a loose fit. An adjustable wrench that is not tightened down on the nut, or a spanner one size too big, rounds off the corners and then nothing will grip it.
