Tape, film, foam, strapping and sealers for packing an order, wrapping a pallet or moving a house. Transparent packing tape is 0.350 KD a roll, masking tape 0.500 KD, a carton of six stretch film rolls starts at 4.250 KD, a 1.5 m × 100 yard bubble roll is 15.000 KD, and an impulse bag sealer starts at 8.500 KD for a 200 mm seal. Most of it is held by the hundred, so a warehouse order and a one-off house move are both no trouble.

Which one do you need?

Type Best for Price
Packing tape, transparent, 70 or 100 yards Closing cartons. 0.350 KD for a 70 yard roll and 0.500 KD for 100 yards, so the longer roll is the cheaper tape per metre 0.350–0.500 KD
Masking tape, 1" or 2" × 30 yards Painting, labelling and anything you need to peel off again. 0.500 KD for 1" and 0.750 KD for 2". We carry a second 1" masking tape at the same 0.500 KD, so there is depth on this one 0.500–0.750 KD
Duct tape / cloth tape, grey, 2" × 20 yards Cable runs, floor marking, bundling, site repairs — the cloth-backed tape you tear by hand instead of cutting 0.750 KD
Double-sided carpet tape, 50 mm × 15 m Holding carpet, matting, underlay or vinyl down with nothing visible on top 2.000 KD
Tape dispenser Anyone taping more than a few boxes a day. Pays for itself in the first hour of a packing session 0.750 KD
Stretch film, transparent, cartons of 6 or 12 rolls Wrapping pallets, stacks and furniture. Six weights: 1 kg rolls at 4.250 KD a carton, 1.3 kg 4.900 KD, 2 kg 6.400 KD, 2.5 kg 7.750 KD, 3 kg 9.000 KD — all cartons of six — plus a twelve-roll carton of 0.8 kg rolls at 5.300 KD 4.250–9.000 KD
Bubble roll, white, 1.5 m × 100 yards Wrapping glass, screens, crockery and anything with a corner. One roll, 1.5 m wide and 100 yards long, which is a house move rather than a parcel 15.000 KD
PE / EPE foam roll, 2 mm or 3 mm × 100 m Interleaving flat items — tiles, panels, picture glass, worktops — where bubble is too bulky. 13.500 KD for 2 mm, 15.500 KD for 3 mm 13.500–15.500 KD
PP strapping, 5/8", small roll Strapping cartons and bundles. The small roll at 1.500 KD is the one for occasional use 1.500 KD

Packing clips, metal, 5/8" Crimping the two ends of a PP strap together. 1.250 KD for metal 1.250 KD
Packing clips, brass, 5/8" The same clip in brass, at 2.000 KD 2.000 KD
Metal strap, 5/8" Steel strapping where a plastic strap would stretch — timber bundles, drums, heavy crates 2.500 KD
Strapping tensioner for 5/8" PP strap Pulling the strap tight and crimping the clip. If you are strapping more than a few boxes, this is the tool that makes the strapping work at all 13.750 KD
Ratchet strap, 38 mm × 6 m, 1000 daN Lashing a load in a pickup or a van. One strap, 6 m long, rated 1000 daN 1.000 KD

Impulse bag sealer with a side cutter, 200 / 300 / 400 mm The same seal with a blade alongside it, so you seal and trim the excess in one motion. 12.000 KD at 200 mm / 8", 16.500 KD at 300 mm / 12", 21.500 KD at 400 mm. Aluminium body 12.000–21.500 KD

What to check before buying

  • Buy the longer tape roll. A 70 yard roll is 0.350 KD and a 100 yard roll is 0.500 KD, so the longer one is cheaper per metre and you change rolls less often. If you want glue rather than tape, that is a different shelf — see adhesives and sealants.
  • Stretch film: compare the carton, not the roll. The cartons get cheaper per kilo as the rolls get heavier — a 1 kg × 6 carton works out around 0.708 KD a kilo and a 3 kg × 6 carton around 0.500 KD a kilo. One useful exception: the twelve-roll carton of 0.8 kg rolls at 5.300 KD holds the same total film as a 1.6 kg × 6 carton but costs less per kilo and gives you twice as many rolls to hand out.
  • Heavier film is not always the answer. A heavier roll means more metres, not a stronger wrap. If your pallets are light and you get through a carton a week, the 1 kg rolls at 4.250 KD are the right buy.
  • Bubble or foam? Bubble is for shapes with corners and for anything that can knock against its neighbour. The 2 mm and 3 mm foam rolls are for flat things stacked face to face — tiles, panels, glass, worktops — where bubble just makes the stack tall.
  • Buy the strapping, the clips and the tensioner together. A roll of PP strap on its own cannot be tightened or joined. The clips are 1.250 KD in metal and 2.000 KD in brass, and the tensioner is 13.750 KD — that is the real cost of starting to strap, and after that the strap is 1.500 KD a roll.
  • Sealer width: measure the widest bag. Seal widths are 200, 300 and 400 mm, and a bag wider than the bar needs two passes with a join in the middle. Price the width you need, not the one you use most.
  • Sealer with or without a cutter? Worth knowing before you choose: 16.500 KD buys either a 400 mm plain sealer or a 300 mm one with a side cutter. If your bags are narrow and you are trimming every one, the cutter is the better 16.500 KD. If your bags are wide, the width is.
  • Packing a warehouse or a shop? Give us the volume and the box sizes rather than a product list. Contact us for carton quantities — tape, film, strapping and foam are the four we hold deepest.

FAQs

How much is packing tape in Kuwait?

0.350 KD for a 70 yard roll of transparent packing tape and 0.500 KD for 100 yards. Masking tape is 0.500 KD for 1" × 30 yards and 0.750 KD for 2", and grey duct / cloth tape is 0.750 KD for 2" × 20 yards. A tape dispenser is 0.750 KD. All in stock.

Do you have bubble wrap, and what size is the roll?

Yes — one roll, white, 1.5 metres wide by 100 yards long, at 15.000 KD. That is a house-move or shop-fit quantity rather than a parcel's worth. For flat items stacked face to face, the 2 mm and 3 mm foam rolls at 13.500 and 15.500 KD for 100 metres are usually the better choice.

How much stretch film do I need, and which weight?

It is sold by the carton. Cartons of six rolls run 4.250 KD for 1 kg rolls, 4.900 KD for 1.3 kg, 6.400 KD for 2 kg, 7.750 KD for 2.5 kg and 9.000 KD for 3 kg, and there is a twelve-roll carton of 0.8 kg rolls at 5.300 KD. Heavier rolls hold more metres and cost less per kilo; the twelve-roll carton is the one to pick if several people are wrapping at once.

Which bag sealer should I buy?

Measure your widest bag. Plain impulse sealers are 8.500 KD at 200 mm, 10.500 KD at 300 mm and 16.500 KD at 400 mm. Versions with a side cutter, which trim the excess as they seal, are 12.000 KD at 200 mm, 16.500 KD at 300 mm and 21.500 KD at 400 mm. Note that 16.500 KD buys either a 400 mm plain machine or a 300 mm one with a cutter, so the choice is width against the blade. Vacuum sealers are out of stock at the moment — an impulse sealer seals a bag but does not draw the air out of it.

Also useful: warehouse equipment for the trolleys, pallet trucks and scales that go with a packing bench, and stationery for the office end of the same shelf.
