Which one do you need?
- Wood or wall? That is the only question that matters here. The 250W sheet sander is a wood tool: flat pad, dust bag, light enough to hold against a vertical surface. The two 850W machines are wall and ceiling tools — a round head on a long body, meant to be pushed across an area rather than held on a workpiece.
- A sheet pad reaches corners; a round disc does not. If what you are sanding has edges and rebates — a door, a window frame, a shelf — the rectangular pad on the 250W machine is the right shape. A round head is faster on open surfaces and leaves the last inch into a corner for you to do by hand.
- Buy the extension if you are doing ceilings. The foldable drywall sander extends to 200 cm and weighs 4.1 kg, which is what lets one person work overhead from the floor instead of off a ladder. The fixed-length 850W wall sander at 27.750 KD is 5.750 KD cheaper and the right choice if everything you sand is within arm's reach.
- Variable speed earns its keep on filler. The drywall sander runs 800 to 1800 r/min. Slower settings take off less per pass, which is what you want on soft filler and skim coat; the top of the range is for levelling a wall that has been patched.
- Dust is the real cost of sanding indoors. The 250W sander has a dust bag and the drywall sander draws its own dust. Neither removes the need to mask a room, but both change how long you spend cleaning afterwards.
- Bring the abrasive size with you. The drywall sander takes 210 mm PSA stick-on discs and the sheet sander takes rectangular sheets. We do not currently stock the abrasive, so buy it in the grits you need wherever you get your consumables, and bring one along if you want to check it fits before you buy the machine.

Not at the moment. The drywall sander takes 210 mm PSA stick-on discs and the sheet sander takes rectangular sheets; bring a sample or the old disc to the showroom and we will confirm the size before you buy the machine.
