Hinges, drawer slides, door stoppers and the small fittings that go into a cabinet or a wardrobe. Soft-close cabinet hinges are 0.450 KD, a ball-bearing drawer slide starts at 0.750 KD for 20 cm and a soft-closing one at 2.000 KD, and a door stopper that holds a door open is 3.950 KD. Most of this is held by the hundred for joiners and fit-out jobs — there are over two thousand drawer slides on the shelf today across 22 sizes and mechanisms.

Which one do you need?

Type Best for Price
Cabinet hinge, soft close, or 3D in insert / full over / half over Kitchen and wardrobe doors. 0.450 KD for the plain soft-close; 0.550 KD for the 3D versions, where the extra buys adjustment in three directions so you can line a door up after it is hung 0.450–0.550 KD
Cabinet hinge, soft close, 165° Doors that have to open right back — a corner unit, or a wardrobe where the door would otherwise foul the next one. The wide angle is what you are paying double for 0.950 KD
Concealed hinge, satin, 19 × 95 mm Where no hinge should be visible from the outside of the door at all 2.500 KD
Butt door hinge, 4" × 3" × 3.0 mm, three finishes Room doors rather than cabinet doors — the ordinary leaf hinge, in chrome, brass or satin nickel to match your handles 0.750 KD
Drawer slide, ball bearing, full extension, 20 to 55 cm The standard slide. 0.750 KD at 20 cm rising to 1.500 KD at 55 cm, in 5 cm steps, and full extension means the drawer comes all the way out so you can reach the back 0.750–1.500 KD
Drawer slide, soft closing, 25 to 55 cm Drawers you do not want to hear — the slide pulls the last few centimetres closed itself. 2.000 KD at 25 cm to 3.650 KD at 55 cm 2.000–3.650 KD
Drawer slide, push open, 25 to 55 cm Handleless fronts — push the drawer to open it, so there is nothing on the face of the furniture. Same price ladder as soft closing 2.000–3.650 KD
Door stopper, 180°, 188 × 19 mm Holding a door open all the way back against the wall. Rated for doors of 55 to 75 kg, so it is the one for a solid or a fire-rated leaf rather than a light internal door 3.950 KD
Door stopper, 90° hold open, 188 × 19 mm Holding a door at a right angle instead of flat to the wall — a corridor, a store room, anywhere a fully open door would block something. Same 55 to 75 kg rating 3.950 KD
Cabinet handle, T-bar, stainless steel Cabinet and drawer fronts. Stainless rather than plated, so it does not go patchy in a kitchen 0.750 KD
Shelf arm, L-200 to L-400 mm Carrying a shelf off a wall or off a slotted rack. 0.800 KD at 200 mm to 1.350 KD at 400 mm — pick the arm about 25 mm shorter than the shelf is deep 0.800–1.350 KD
Double slotted rack, 30 × 2440 mm The upright the shelf arms clip into, so shelf heights can be changed later. One length, 2.44 m 1.650 KD
Slatwall single hook, 50 to 300 mm Hanging stock or tools off a slatted display wall. Six lengths, and the price barely moves across them — 0.120 KD at 50 mm to 0.160 KD at 300 mm — so buy the length you need, not the cheap one 0.120–0.160 KD
Wood dowels, 6, 8 or 10 mm Joining carcass panels without visible fixings. 1.000 KD for 6 mm, 1.250 KD for 8 mm, 1.500 KD for 10 mm 1.000–1.500 KD
Chair nails and felt glides Under chair and table legs, and for sofa and upholstery trim. The cheapest thing in the shop 0.040 KD

Out of stock at the moment: decor nails and decor strips, and L-angle brackets in six sizes. Ask us about availability.

What to check before buying

  • Measure the drawer, then subtract. Slides are sold by their own length, not by the drawer's. Measure the inside depth of the carcass and take the next size DOWN — a 45 cm slide in a 45 cm opening will not go in.
  • Soft close, push open, or plain? Plain ball-bearing slides are 0.750 to 1.500 KD and do the job. Soft closing and push open are 2.000 to 3.650 KD. Push open is the one to pick if the furniture has no handles at all, because the alternative is routing a finger pull. Soft closing is the one to pick for a bedroom.
  • Get the 3D hinge if the carcass is not perfect. The 0.550 KD 3D hinges adjust in three directions after the door is hung, which is 0.100 KD well spent on a door you have to line up against a neighbour. The plain soft-close at 0.450 KD assumes everything is square.
  • 165° is about clearance, not quality. The 0.950 KD hinge is not a better hinge than the 0.450 KD one; it opens further. Buy it for a corner unit or where a door at 110° would hit something, and buy the cheaper one everywhere else.
  • Weigh the door before you buy a stopper. Both stoppers are rated for doors of 55 to 75 kg. A light hollow internal door is well under that, and a solid leaf can be over it, so the rating is the number to check — not the price, since both are 3.950 KD.
  • Shelf arms: 25 mm shorter than the shelf. An arm that reaches the front edge shows. The five lengths from 200 to 400 mm cover most shelf depths, and the slotted rack they clip into is 2.44 m so one length does a full-height run.
  • Buy fittings by the box. Hinges, slides, hooks and dowels are all held by the hundred here — over two thousand slides and nearly six hundred hooks today. Bring us a cutting list or a drawer schedule rather than a product list and contact us for a quantity price. For the tools to fit them, see hand tools.

FAQs

How much are soft-close cabinet hinges in Kuwait?

0.450 KD for a plain soft-close hinge and 0.550 KD for the 3D versions, which adjust in three directions — available as insert, full over or half over. A wide-angle 165° soft-close hinge is 0.950 KD, and a concealed satin hinge at 19 × 95 mm is 2.500 KD. All in stock, and we hold them by the hundred.

What size drawer slide do I need, and what do they cost?

Measure the inside depth of the drawer opening and go one size down. Ball-bearing full-extension slides run 0.750 KD at 20 cm to 1.500 KD at 55 cm in 5 cm steps. Soft-closing and push-open slides run 2.000 KD at 25 cm to 3.650 KD at 55 cm. Twenty-two sizes and mechanisms in total, all in stock.

Do you have door stoppers?

Yes, two, both 3.950 KD and both 188 × 19 mm: one holds a door at 180°, flat back against the wall, and one holds it at 90°. Both are rated for doors of 55 to 75 kg, so check the weight of your leaf rather than choosing on price. We are down to 28 and 30 of them.

Can you supply fittings for a whole kitchen or wardrobe job?

Yes. Hinges, slides, handles, dowels and shelf arms are all held in quantity — over two thousand slides and three hundred hinges today. Send us the drawer schedule or the cutting list and we will price the fittings as one order. Contact us and ask for a quantity price.

Also useful: wooden doors for the doors the butt hinges and stoppers go on, and screws for the fixings every one of these fittings needs.
