We also hold meat bandsaw blades in nine lengths from 1500 to 2050 mm, at 30.000 and 35.000 KD. The two dedicated meat and bone saws, 650 W and 1100 W, are out of stock at the moment.

The machine and the blades

• Band saw machine, 800 W — 80.000 KD. A 350 mm cutting capacity, mechanical blade tensioning, and a cast base with a screw vice and a swivel head for mitre cuts. It weighs 15 kg, which is light enough to move between benches. Rated for wood, metal and bone, which is why it is the one machine here that is not a dedicated meat saw. Only three on the shelf.
• Meat bandsaw blades — 30.000 KD up to 1840 mm, 35.000 KD from 1950 mm. All are 16 mm wide, 0.5 mm thick, 4 teeth per inch, in nine lengths: 1500, 1550, 1600, 1760, 1800, 1840, 1950, 2000 and 2050 mm. We hold around a hundred of each, so this is the one thing in the collection that is never short.

Out of stock at the moment: both dedicated meat and bone saws. The 650 W cuts to 20 cm high and 10 cm thick on a 48 × 36 cm stainless worktable and weighs 22 kg; the 1100 W cuts to 25 cm high and 19 cm thick and weighs 35 kg. No prices are quoted for either — ask us about the next shipment.

Before you order a blade

• Measure the blade length on your own machine first. Our nine lengths start at 1500 mm. The 1100 W meat saw takes a 1650 mm blade, which is covered — but the 650 W meat saw takes a 1200 mm blade, which is shorter than anything we stock. If you have the 650 W machine, none of these blades will fit it.
• The three longest lengths cost 5.000 KD more. 1500 to 1840 mm is 30.000 KD; 1950, 2000 and 2050 mm is 35.000 KD. The blade itself is identical: 16 × 0.5 mm at 4 tpi.
• 4 teeth per inch is a coarse blade. That is correct for bone and frozen product and wrong for a fine finish in wood. We do not stock a finer tooth count.
• Cutting height is the figure that decides a meat saw. 20 cm on the 650 W, 25 cm on the 1100 W — and 10 cm against 19 cm of thickness. That gap, not the wattage, is what separates them.
• The 800 W machine is a metal and wood saw that also takes bone. If you are cutting carcass all day, the dedicated meat saws are the right tool — and both are out of stock, so talk to us.
