Drills, angle grinders, saws, sanders, rotary hammers, impact wrenches, chain saws and blowers for sites, workshops and the house. The cheapest mains drill is 5.750 KD, a 115 mm angle grinder starts at 6.000 KD and a cordless drill supplied with two batteries starts at 11.500 KD; at the other end a 5000 W concrete wall cutter is 140.000 KD. Driver bits and chucks start at 0.150 KD. There are eleven ranges below — pick the one you need and it will take you to the whole of it.

Type Best for Price

Electric drills and rotary hammers Mains drilling all day, impact drilling into block and concrete, and rotary hammers for anchors in concrete from 5.750 KD
Angle grinders and cutting machines Cutting and grinding steel, chasing walls for conduit, cutting rebar. 4" to 9" discs, corded and cordless from 6.000 KD
Electric saws and cutting machines Timber and board with a circular saw, curves with a jigsaw, lengths with a mitre saw, marble and metal with a cut-off machine from 10.000 KD

Power tool accessories What the machine needs to work: driver bits, bit holders, 13 mm drill chucks, nut sockets, wire brushes and riveter adapters from 0.150 KD
Other corded machines A two-item corner rather than a range: an electric sheep clipper, with an 850 W electric planer beside it that is out of stock 18.000 KD

Also in this part of the shop: pneumatic (air) tools, generators, water pumps, vacuum cleaners and blowers, hot air guns, bandsaw machines and industrial machines.

What to check before buying

  • Mains or cordless, decided on the job and not on the price. A mains drill starts at 5.750 KD and will not stop halfway through a wall. A cordless drill starts at 11.500 KD with two batteries and goes where there is no socket. If the work is in one place and there is power, mains costs less for the same hole.
  • Impact drill or rotary hammer? An impact drill holds an ordinary round-shank bit in a chuck and hammers through it; from 12.000 KD. A rotary hammer starts at 17.450 KD, and the two SDS-plus models, where the bit locks into the nose instead of being gripped by a chuck, are 44.550 KD and 53.350 KD. For a handful of holes in block the impact drill is enough; for anchors in concrete, buy the rotary hammer.
  • Grinder size before grinder price. We stock 4", 4.5", 5", 7" and 9". A 4.5" at 6.000 KD does most steelwork and all cutting of small section; the 7" and 9" are for depth of cut, not for convenience, and they are heavier to hold all day.
  • Bring your battery to the showroom. Battery platforms differ between the ranges we carry, so a battery from one tool will not necessarily fit another. If you already own a cordless tool and want a second one to share the battery, bring the battery in and we can match it on the floor.
  • Budget for the consumables, not just the machine. Driver bits are 0.150 KD, a 13 mm chuck set 0.950 KD, a bit holder 2.000 KD. A grinder without discs and a drill without bits are both half a purchase.
  • Where an item in the grid shows as unavailable, ask us about it rather than assuming it is gone — 52 of the items here are out of stock today, and the sold-out one is often the twin of one we hold.
  • Kitting out a site or a workshop? Tell us the trades and the head count rather than sending a product list. Contact us for quantities.

FAQs

What do power tools cost in Kuwait?

A mains drill starts at 5.750 KD, a 115 mm angle grinder at 6.000 KD, a sheet sander at 8.850 KD, a circular saw at 12.600 KD, a cordless drill with two batteries at 11.500 KD, a rotary hammer at 17.450 KD and a cordless impact wrench at 17.450 KD. A 1700 W demolition hammer is 45.000 KD. Driver bits and small accessories start at 0.150 KD.

Do you stock the large site machines, or only hand-held tools?

Both. Alongside the hand-held range there is a 5000 W, 410 mm concrete wall cutter at 140.000 KD, an 800 W concrete mixer from 89.950 KD, a gasoline plate compactor at 65.000 KD, an industrial vibrator poker at 26.000 KD, a 1200 W rebar cutter at 104.950 KD and a 52 cc gasoline earth auger at 28.950 KD. Stock on these is counted in single figures, so call before you drive over.

Which of these pages should I be on?

If you know the tool, go straight to it in the table above. If you know only the job: holes in concrete is electric drills and rotary hammers; cutting or grinding steel is angle grinders; cutting timber is electric saws; breaking concrete is construction and demolition equipment; wheel nuts is power wrenches.

Cordless or corded for site work?

If the site has power, corded is cheaper for the same machine and never runs flat. Cordless earns its money where there is no supply yet, where you are moving constantly, or on the drills and drivers you pick up fifty times a day. A longer version of this argument is in how to choose power tools in Kuwait.

Also useful: hand tools for the tools these work alongside, and pneumatic tools if you already run a compressor.
