Spray, gel or contact?

A spray is the right choice when the glue has to go over a whole face evenly. For a small, strong joint between two hard surfaces a super glue is the quicker tool, and for laminate, rubber, leather or cork a contact adhesive in a tube gives you more control than an aerosol. For a wet joint around a sink or a window, neither of them is right - use a silicone sealant.

Mask the surrounding area before you spray. Overspray from an aerosol travels further than people expect, and masking tape is cheaper than cleaning it off.
