Contact adhesive in a 55 ml tube at 1.000 KD, 84 in stock. It is the glue for sticking one surface to another over an area - laminate to board, rubber to metal, leather, cork, canvas, lino and foam.

How a contact adhesive is used

A contact adhesive is not a glue you press together wet. Coat both faces, let them go tacky, then bring them together - and when they touch, they are joined, so position the piece before contact rather than after. That is the whole technique, and it is why a 55 ml tube goes further than people expect on a flat panel.

It is the wrong product for three jobs. A small butt joint between two hard pieces wants a super glue. A whole sheet over a large area is faster with a spray adhesive. And a joint that has to keep water out - around a sink, a shower tray or a window frame - wants a silicone sealant, not an adhesive at all.

No open time is recorded for this product, so we will not quote minutes. The tube carries the instruction - ask at the counter and read it.

Will it hold outdoors?

It is recorded as moisture and frost resistant, with a range of -40°C to +70°C. In full Kuwait summer sun a dark surface can sit above the top of that range, so keep it out of direct sun on anything load-bearing.

Can I use it on polystyrene?

Polyether foam is listed; polystyrene is not. Solvent adhesives attack some foams, so test on an offcut first.

Is a bigger tin available?
