Match the coverage rating on the box to the floor area of the room, and the decision is already made. A bedroom or a small office is 30 to 50 m², so the 150 ml app-controlled diffuser at 11.950 KD is the one. A normal majlis is up to 100 m², which is the 200 ml metal unit at 29.950 KD. A villa entrance, a showroom or a large majlis needs the 500 ml floor-standing unit at 48.500 KD, rated to 700 m², or the 800 ml unit at 79.950 KD, rated to 1,000 m².
Ten units are in stock today, from 9.950 KD. The mistake almost everybody makes is buying by tank size instead of by coverage, and the two are not the same thing. Below is how to work out which figure you need, what the difference between waterless and water-based actually is, how long a bottle of oil lasts, and where bakhoor and oud fit in — because here they are not a footnote.
Which diffuser for which space
| Space | Coverage you need | Unit | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bedroom, washroom, small office | 30–50 m² | 150 ml app-controlled, white or black | 11.950 KD |
| Large bedroom, shop floor, salon | 80–100 m² | 150 ml app-controlled, mains or dry battery | 12.950 KD |
| Living room, normal majlis, clinic | Up to 100 m² | 200 ml metal, Bluetooth | 29.950 KD |
| Villa entrance, lobby, showroom | Up to 700 m² | 500 ml floor-standing, 12 W | 48.500 KD |
| Large majlis, hotel floor, whole ground floor | Up to 1,000 m² | 800 ml metal, 18 W, waterless | 79.950 KD |
| Car cabin | Up to 45 m³ | 15 ml aluminium, waterless | 11.450 KD |
| Car vent, desk, bedside | Cordless, close range | Mini rechargeable set | 9.950 KD |
| Bakhoor and oud in a majlis | Not a diffuser — a burner | Electric bakhoor burner, gold | 11.000 KD |
| One room, with an aroma function | 20–30 m² | 5 L humidifier, hot and cold mist | 13.950 KD |
How to work out your room in square metres
Measure the length and the width in metres and multiply them. That is it. For reference, using the sizes that are common in Kuwait flats and villas:
- A 4 by 5 m bedroom is 20 m² — comfortably inside the 30 to 50 m² unit at 11.950 KD.
- A 6 by 8 m majlis is 48 m² — still inside the 80 to 100 m² unit at 12.950 KD, and well inside the 200 ml unit at 29.950 KD.
- A ground floor of 180 m² with the doors open is one space, not five rooms. That is where the 500 ml floor-standing unit at 48.500 KD belongs.
Two things change the answer. If the room opens into a corridor or a stairwell, the air you are scenting is bigger than the room you measured, so count the corridor. And if the split AC runs all day, the air changes faster, which is an argument for the next size up rather than the next size down. We would rather sell you a unit sitting on its lowest setting than one running flat out and never catching up.
Note the one unit measured in cubic metres rather than square: the 15 ml aluminium car diffuser at 11.450 KD is rated to 45 m³, because a car cabin is a volume, not a floor.
Waterless or water-based
This is the second question people ask and the one that changes the daily routine most.
- Waterless. The oil is atomised directly, so there is nothing to top up but the oil itself. The 800 ml unit at 79.950 KD and the 15 ml car diffuser at 11.450 KD are both listed as waterless. On a big unit this matters: nobody wants to carry water to a lobby machine twice a week.
- Oil capacity, not water capacity. The 150 ml and 200 ml room units list an oil capacity of 150 ml and 200 ml respectively. The figure on the box is how much fragrance oil the unit holds.
- The humidifier is a different machine. The 5 L unit at 13.950 KD has a 5 L water tank, hot and cold mist, 18 W, under 36 dB, and runs 15 to 37 hours per tank depending on the setting. It has an aroma function, but it is a humidifier first and the water is the point of it.
How long does a bottle of oil last?
Exactly one product in our catalogue publishes a consumption rate, so it is the only one we will give you a running time for. The 15 ml aluminium car diffuser uses 0.03 to 0.15 mL an hour, which works out to roughly 100 to 500 running hours from one 15 ml bottle.
The records for the 150 ml, 200 ml, 500 ml and 800 ml units do not state a rate, and we are not going to invent one. What determines it on those units is the tank size, the intensity you set, and the hours you schedule — and the schedule is the big one. On the 800 ml unit you set the spray and the pause anywhere from 5 to 300 seconds, so the same tank can last a week or a season depending on how you programme it. Tell us the room and the hours you want it running and we will give you an honest estimate at the counter rather than a number off a box.
What you can plan on is the cost of a refill. The fragrance oil is sold in 100 ml, 200 ml and 500 ml bottles. White Tea is the scent with the deepest stock today: 3.950 KD for 100 ml, 7.250 KD for 200 ml and 16.500 KD for 500 ml. A handful of other scents have a few bottles left and most of the list is between shipments, so check the page or ask us for the one you want before you order.
Bakhoor and oud
A diffuser atomises liquid oil. It cannot take bakhoor chips, oud wood or any solid at all, and putting them in one will block it. This is the single most common mistake made with these machines here, and it is worth stating plainly rather than at the bottom of a specification list.
For bakhoor and oud the product is the electric bakhoor burner at 11.000 KD, with 21 in stock. It runs on 220 to 240 V, heats on an adjustable temperature dial, and has a timer built into the inline controller, so a majlis can be scented before the guests arrive and switch itself off. It is a hexagonal gold openwork body with a domed lid and a crescent finial, an illuminated on and off switch set into the base, and it comes with a removable inner bowl and tongs. No charcoal. That is the practical difference: no lighting, no ash, no waiting, and a dial instead of guesswork.
If you want both in the same room, run them as two separate things: the burner for a short, strong bakhoor session, the diffuser for the quiet background scent the rest of the day.
If it is going in a bedroom, check the noise figure
Four of these units publish one, which is more than most.
- 150 ml app-controlled, 12.950 KD — under 30 dB, the quietest figure in the range.
- 5 L humidifier, 13.950 KD — under 36 dB.
- 200 ml metal, 29.950 KD — under 40 dBA, drawing 8 W.
- 500 ml floor-standing, 48.500 KD — under 45 dBA, 3.2 kg, DC 12 V at 12 W. This is a lobby machine, not a bedside one.
Power, and where the unit can actually sit
Decide this before you choose, because it rules options out faster than price does.
- Mains only: the 500 ml floor-standing unit runs on DC 12 V from an adaptor, and the bakhoor burner on 220 to 240 V. Both need a socket within reach of where you want them.
- Mains or dry battery: the 150 ml unit at 12.950 KD takes either. The battery is not included, and the version of it with a rechargeable lithium cell is between shipments, so order the mains-and-dry-battery one.
- Cordless: the mini set at 9.950 KD has a built-in rechargeable cell, a vent clip, a spill-proof body and an LED ring, and it stands on a desk or mounts on a wall as easily as it clips in a car. Fragrance oil vials are in the box, which is why it is the one people buy as a gift.
- Type-C, 5 V: the 15 ml aluminium car diffuser at 11.450 KD, in black, gold or silver, 69.5 by 69.5 by 129.5 mm, with a timer.

Frequently asked questions
What size diffuser do I need for a majlis?
For a normal majlis, the 200 ml metal unit at 29.950 KD, rated to 100 m². For a large majlis or one that opens into the hall, the 500 ml floor-standing unit at 48.500 KD is rated to 700 m² and the 800 ml unit at 79.950 KD to 1,000 m².
What size diffuser do I need for a bedroom?
The 150 ml app-controlled unit at 11.950 KD, rated for 30 to 50 m². A 4 by 5 m bedroom is 20 m², so it has room to spare. It is also the lowest price we have for a mains unit for a room.
How long does a bottle of diffuser oil last?
Only the 15 ml aluminium car diffuser publishes a rate: 0.03 to 0.15 mL an hour, so roughly 100 to 500 running hours from one 15 ml bottle. No rate is published for the 150 ml, 200 ml, 500 ml or 800 ml units, so we will not quote one — on those it depends on the tank, the intensity and the schedule you set.
How much does a refill of fragrance oil cost in Kuwait?
White Tea, the scent with the most stock today, is 3.950 KD for 100 ml, 7.250 KD for 200 ml and 16.500 KD for 500 ml.
Most of the other scents on that page are between shipments, so ask us before you order a specific one.
Can I use bakhoor or oud in a scent diffuser?
No. The diffusers take liquid fragrance oil only and a solid will block them. For bakhoor and oud, the electric bakhoor burner at 11.000 KD heats the chips on an adjustable dial with a built-in timer, with a removable inner bowl and tongs, and no charcoal.
What is the difference between a waterless diffuser and an ordinary one?
A waterless unit atomises the oil directly, so there is no water to refill — the 800 ml unit at 79.950 KD and the 15 ml car diffuser at 11.450 KD are both waterless. The 5 L unit at 13.950 KD is a humidifier with a water tank and an aroma function, which is a different machine.
Which is the quietest diffuser you sell?
The 150 ml app-controlled unit at 12.950 KD, published at under 30 dB. After that the 5 L humidifier at under 36 dB and the 200 ml metal unit at under 40 dBA.
What is the lowest price for a diffuser in Kuwait at Bab Al-Saif?
9.950 KD for the mini rechargeable set, which is cordless and comes with fragrance oil vials. For a room on mains power the entry price is 11.950 KD.
