Setting it up, and what to do when something goes wrong

• Set the admin code on the first day and keep it. Adding a fingerprint or a passcode needs the admin code, so write it down somewhere you will still have it in a year.
• One app for the whole range. Every smart lock we sell is run from the Tuya app, and the menu on the lock itself is the same from model to model, so what you learn on one carries over to the next.
• If the battery goes flat, the lock takes USB-C power and any phone power bank will run it. Keep a power bank and a USB-C cable somewhere you can get to them, in the car or in a nearby drawer.
• Too many wrong attempts and the lock stops accepting entries for a few minutes, then allows retries.
• To clear a previous occupant's fingerprints, use the physical reset button on the lock. It is not done from the app and it does not need the old code, which is the point if you have just moved in.
• Every smart lock we sell comes with backup keys.
• Fitting: every model needs some preparation of the door, and the 7 to 20 KD installation charge covers that work.
