Buying tips
- Drill, impact drill or rotary hammer? A plain drill handles wood and metal. An impact drill adds a hammering action for brick and light concrete. A rotary hammer is the tool for anchor holes in structural concrete, and here they start at 17.45 KD.
- Chuck and bits: a 13mm chuck takes bigger bits than 10mm. SDS-Plus rotary hammers use their own bits — see drilling tools.
- Wattage: 450W–710W is enough for home use. 800W and above suits long jobs and harder material.
- Corded or cordless? Corded means constant power and no charging. If you move around a lot, look at cordless drills instead.

FAQs
How much is a drill machine in Kuwait?
Corded drills here start from 5.75 KD for a 450W model. Impact drills are 12–17 KD for home use and 19.5–51.75 KD for trade models, and rotary hammers run from 17.45 KD in this collection.
Can I drill concrete with a normal electric drill?
For a few small holes in soft blockwork, an impact drill with a masonry bit will do. For anchor holes in structural concrete, use a rotary hammer — it removes material faster and is easier on the tool and on you.
What does SDS-Plus mean?
SDS-Plus is the bit-fitting system used by rotary hammers. The bit slots and locks in without a chuck key, and it only fits SDS-Plus bits.
