Buying tips
- Voltage: 12V–16.8V drills are lighter and fine for most home jobs. 18V–21V gives you more power for bigger holes and longer sessions.
- Chuck size: a 13mm chuck takes larger drill bits than a 10mm chuck.
- Walls and concrete: choose an impact or hammer drill and use masonry bits. For anchor holes in concrete use a rotary hammer: there is now a 12V cordless one at 35.000 KD, or see the corded models.
- Two batteries: most drills here come with 2 batteries (check the product page), so one charges while you work.

FAQs
How much is a cordless drill in Kuwait?
Cordless drills here start from 11.500 KD for a 16.8V drill with 2 batteries. 20V–21V drills are around 13.500–19.450 KD, and 12V to 18V trade models run from 33.500 KD to 70.000 KD. Cordless hammer drills are 29.500–40.000 KD, and a 12V cordless rotary hammer is 35.000 KD.
What's the difference between a drill and an impact drill?
A plain drill is for wood, metal and plastic and for driving screws. An impact or hammer drill adds a hammering action, which makes drilling into brick and concrete much easier. Hammer drill prices in Kuwait explains the difference in more detail.
Do I need a drill or a screwdriver?
For assembling furniture and driving small screws, a compact cordless screwdriver is lighter and easier to handle. If you also need to make holes in walls, choose a drill.
Cordless or corded?
Cordless is easier to move around the house and on site. Corded drills give you constant power with no charging, and corded rotary hammers handle concrete better.
