A self-cleaning 65 L automatic cat litter box at Bab Al-Saif is 82.450 KD. Automatic feeders run from 12.500 KD for a 3 L unit up to 35.950 KD for a 5 L feeder with a 4 L fountain built into the same body, and the three water fountains are 9.950 KD, 10.000 KD and 10.500 KD.
Nine machines, and four decisions worth making before you order any of them: what the hopper holds in kilograms rather than litres, whether the fountain runs off a wall socket or a USB cable, whether you want a camera, and whether the litter box physically fits the corner you have in mind. Every figure below is read off the product records.

The litter box, by its own numbers
At 82.450 KD this is the most expensive item on the page by 46.500 KD, so it is worth reading its record line by line before you commit.
- A 65 L drum with a 9 L waste bin integrated in the same unit. One machine standing on the floor, not a machine plus a separate bin beside it.
- Cats of 1 to 8 kg, which is the figure its own record gives. Weigh yours if you are near either end of that.
- 45 × 45 cm bin bags. Buy that size rather than guessing with a kitchen bag.
- Mineral, bentonite, mixed or tofu litter. Four types are listed. If you do not know which of the four you are already buying, bring the bag to the counter in Shuwaikh and we will read it with you.
- DC 12 V at 1.5 A, 18 W or less, 50 to 60 Hz. It runs from an adapter, so it needs a socket within a cable's reach of wherever it stands.
Feeders: litres on the box, kilograms in the hopper
This is the number that actually decides how often you refill, and only two of the four feeders publish it.
- The 12.500 KD feeder states 3 L = 1.5 kg of kibble.
- The 35.000 KD feeder states 5.5 L = 3 kg. Exactly double the kibble weight, for 2.8 times the price.
- The 19.500 KD camera feeder states 3 L and no weight, and the 35.950 KD unit states a 5 L food hopper with 4 L of water and no weight. Neither record converts it, so we are not going to convert it for them.
The two that do publish a weight also publish the same portion size, 10 g or 20 g a serving, and the same food specification: 5 to 10 mm, dry and non-sticky. That specification is about the auger inside the machine, not about the cat: it is the size of food the mechanism is built to turn.
Both of those two take four AA cells alongside a 5 V supply, and the cells are not in the box. Buy them with the feeder rather than after it.
All four feeders are app-controlled, so they need a wireless network at home. Two carry a 1080p camera — the 19.500 KD and 35.950 KD units — and the 19.500 KD one also records a custom voice message that plays at feeding time.
Three fountains inside 0.550 KD of each other
9.950, 10.000 and 10.500 KD. At that spread the price is not the decision, so here is what actually separates them.
- 9.950 KD, 2.5 L. The largest tank of the three. 735 g, 185 × 185 × 127 mm, an ABS body, 1 W, mains at AC 110–220 V, high-density filter.
- 10.000 KD, 2 L. 384 g against the 2.5 L unit's 735 g, and the 10.500 KD unit publishes no weight at all. 189 × 189 × 140 mm, a HIPS body, 1 W, mains at AC 110–220 V, high-density filter.
- 10.500 KD, 2 L. The one that is built differently: a 304 stainless steel drinking tray instead of plastic, an infrared sensor that starts the flow as the cat comes near, a touch control panel, replaceable filter cotton, and USB at DC 5 V rather than a mains adapter. It is also the only one of the three whose record states tool-free disassembly.
So the trade is half a litre of tank against a steel tray, a sensor and a USB cable. If the fountain is going somewhere you can only reach with a USB cable, off a power bank or a USB port, the 10.500 KD unit is the only one of the three that will run there.
Measure the corner before you order the litter box
A 65 L drum is a piece of furniture and people underestimate it from a photograph. Measure the space, and check there is a socket in reach, because it runs on a 12 V adapter rather than batteries. In a Kuwait apartment it usually ends up in the utility area or the second bathroom; in a villa, the back hall or the maid's room. It is assembled on our showroom floor in Shuwaikh, and on an 82.450 KD purchase that is worth the trip.
