Instead of a lithium battery that self-discharges in the boot and dies after a couple of years, this unit stores its energy in five 2.7V/500F super capacitors. Leave it in the car for months and it's still ready — and because capacitors don't degrade the way batteries do, it keeps working season after season.

It draws what it needs from the vehicle's own battery through the clamps, then delivers up to 1000A of starting current at a maximum 14.5V output — enough for petrol engines up to 7.0L and diesels up to 4.0L. If the car battery is completely dead, you can charge the unit through the 5521 DC port or the USB-C port from a power bank, laptop charger, or another vehicle. A USB-C input rated 5-20V at up to 100W means most modern chargers will do the job.

Built for real conditions: the tough ABS housing carries an integrated handle, and the unit is rated to operate from -40°C all the way to +70°C, so heat in summer is not a problem.
