In a flat, a hotel room or a caravan there is nowhere to put a tumble dryer, so washing goes on the rail and stays there — and in humid weather it comes off a day later still faintly damp and smelling of the room it dried in. This unit hangs on the same rail by a leather loop and pushes warm air down through the clothes instead, so a small load is dry in hours rather than overnight.

Two turbo fans behind a PTC ceramic element circulate hot air 360 degrees around the garment rather than blowing at one side of it. Three temperatures — 55, 65 and 75 °C — let you keep the heat low for delicates and high for towels and denim, and the timer runs from one to three hours then shuts the unit off by itself, so it can be left while you sleep or leave the house. A UV lamp runs alongside the heat to sterilise and deodorise as it dries. The whole thing weighs 580 g and has a 120 cm lead.

Made for apartments, dorm rooms, hotels, boats and campervans, and for the loads a big machine is wasted on — towels, underwear, socks, swimwear, baby clothes and small fabric items. It works best with a drying cover or garment bag zipped around the clothes so the warm air stays where it is doing the work, and it will dry a damp item overnight on a rail without heating the whole room.
